Fancy Nancy Party!

Busy busy busy weekend filled with baseball games (Max), swim lessons (Ava), running (Me), golfing (Jason), tagging clothes (for http://www.thekidssale.com/) and Ava's birthday party with her buddies! She had a "Fancy Nancy" party at Mix-It-Up Ice Cream shop. They did such an incredible job entertaining Ava and 13 of her favorite kiddos, keeping with the Fancy Nancy theme throughout!
We passed out wings, feather boas and fairy wands for the girls and crowns and gold necklaces for the boys... everyone had to get 'fancy' for the big party!

The kids ate a snack and colored pictures of ice cream cones when they arrived and then listened to the original "Fancy Nancy" book to get in the mood ;-)

Then the kiddos got to pick out their own temporary tatoo. Ava got two since she was the birthday girl ;-) They boys liked this part since a lot of the party was a bit girly!

Some of the kids... best group shot I got!

Instead of cake, the kids made parfaits, just like in the book. They each got to pick on their own toppings... and they didn't skimp!

We sang to Ava before taking her first bite! Yum.

The fam.

At the very end, Ava was blind folded and people took turns whispering "happy birthday" in her ear and she had to decide who said it... she didn't really understand the game but thought it was a cute picture ;-)

Ahhhhhhhh, more presents!
