Cougar Mountain Zoo

With the February weather being so gorgeous these last few days, we decided to take the kids to the Woodland Park zoo in Seattle this weekend. Unfortunately the entire region had the same idea, so we ended up taking the kiddos to the Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah instead. The Cougar Mountain zoo is tiny and has very few animals... but the kids had a blast and even got to feed some deer and llama and emu. It was so nice to be in the fresh air and watch the kid's excitement as they examined each animal... all 7 of them ;-)Notice the huge tiger in the background... this was the coolest animal at this zoo.

Beautiful views!

Very few live animals, lots of bronze sculptures ;-)

Lots of birds to feed (throw apples to!)

Luke was in heaven with throwing his fruit to/at the animals!

Feeding mule deer

Daddy got in the mix!

Ava feeding the llamas

All-in-all a very fun outing, but don't need to go back anytime soon ;-)
